The BirdieBox for Medical Professionals equips healthcare practices with education, prevention resources, and implementation support to help prevent unintentional fentanyl exposure and overdose among adolescents and young adults.
Developed by BirdieLight through the Integrated Harm Reduction Grant from the Ohio Department of Health, BirdieBox helps providers integrate fentanyl prevention education into routine patient care without adding significant burden to clinical workflows.
What’s included in BirdieBox
Each BirdieBox is designed for immediate use in clinical settings.
- Naloxone (overdose reversal medication)
- Fentanyl test strips with instructions
- Patient education pamphlets for general patients and parents
- Counterfeit pill identification visuals
- Clinic posters for waiting and exam rooms
- Quick-reference provider guides
