Grant Accomplishments & Impact
BirdieLight is grateful for the support of state and community grants that make our programs possible. Each grant allows us to reach new audiences, expand education, and save lives. Below are the measurable outcomes we’ve achieved through these initiatives.
Purpose: To expand our education and outreach efforts across Eastern and Northeastern Ohio, connecting with new communities and strengthening our work in prevention and awareness.
Timeline: 9/30/2024-9/29/2025
Grant Achievements
Education Delivered to:
- 1,659 high school students and 446 middle school students
- 1,185 college students
- 3,226 community members
BirdieBox Program Expansion:
- Distributed 19 BirdieBoxes, achieving a 76% participation rate.
- Extended impact reached an estimated 912 additional individuals through these efforts.
31 educational events hosted across:
- 9 high schools
- 5 middle schools
- 11 colleges & universities
- 6 community organizations
Funded by: Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services
Purpose: To expand fentanyl safety education and harm-reduction access for youth ages 12–25 by equipping primary care offices in high-risk Ohio communities to provide naloxone, fentanyl test strips, and preventive overdose education.
